We are growing a community of post-seed scaleups, and will soon roll out OneEleven's first digital-only membership category. You'll be responsible for building and managing the platforms and channels of programming delivery to support this membership, as well as building relationships with members and prospective members to help grow our reach both in person and online. You will create and test new growth initiatives end-to-end. You will own and develop these strategies and track their success. You will constantly test, iterate, and improve our efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • External marketing and communications. You will own brand development and content for our social media platforms, and be responsible for creating and executing a scalable media and social media strategy that tells the OneEleven story, and supports our programming and events, across channels and audiences

  • Internal marketing and communications: You will own content for our digital platform, all programming, events, and everything to do with growing and fostering our community

  • Content and channel ownership and development: You will own graphic design, video production and editing, and all content related to OneEleven's programming, events, recruiting, partnerships, and ultimately the success of supporting our members

  • Writing. Revamp our newsletter strategy (internal and external) to grow our reach, and own written and visual materials that help tell our story

Requirements:

  • A minimum of four years’ work experience in a marketing or community management role, preferably where you have dealt with multiple stakeholders including members, customers, or the public
  • Experience using CRM tools, email marketing and marketing management platforms, and digital media technologies
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to see a project from conception through to completion
  • The ability to wear a lot of different hats. We are a small team, and you have to be willing and able to own a bit of every function
  • An earnest desire to help rebuild one of Canada’s most beloved tech accelerators. This won’t be a 9 to 5 role, so it’s even more important that you bring a little joie de vivre to this project
  • Humility. We cannot stress this enough. Every day, we will go into work with the singular goal of helping entrepreneurs and founders, who are risking everything for their business. If that is not humbling, we don’t know what is
  • We are committed to following all safety protocols pertaining to COVID, but we do need someone who is comfortable working onsite as permitted
