As part of the development team for the Virtualized Switcher, you will be working on the software version of Ross’ very successful switchers product line. Join our dynamic team and dive into a world of cutting-edge technologies, from video processing and real-time systems to cloud architecture and operating systems. This is not your typical software developer role – here, you will tackle a challenging mix of projects that will push your boundaries, constantly expanding your skillset and making a real impact.

What the job is all about:

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle – requirements gathering, scoping, design, implementation, automation, testing, and maintenance.
• Develop new product features.
• Evaluate modern technologies and their suitability in making our products successful.
• Keep your knowledge current.
• Ensure that code, scripts, and infrastructure meet the highest levels of security at all phases of development and production.

Who you are:

• Proficient level of expertise with C++ (or other system programming languages like Rust, Go, etc.). Applied to real-time data processing is a plus.
• Knowledge of GPU programming (DirectX, Cuda, etc.)
• Knowledge of OO principles and software architecture in general.
• Knowledge of microservices architectures.
• Good knowledge of code revision systems like Git or SVN.
• Good problem-solving skills.

Bonus points if you have the following:

• Frontend development experience using JavaScript and React.
• Experience with DevOps practices and the DevOps culture.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies – specifically on AWS, with experience developing or supporting cloud-based applications.
• Experienced in designing web APIs using principles like REST or GraphQL
• Experience with Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. Knowledge of other Cloud Native frameworks like Prometheus, ArgoCD/Flux, Helm, Istio is a plus.
